Meet the Dallas Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Dallas
Servo Garage Doors Dallas has been answering doors since 2015, and the crew behind those doors is a small, deliberate group. No rotating cast, no anonymous subs. When the truck pulls up in Lakewood, East Dallas, Richardson, or Carrollton, the person stepping out has a name, a specialty, and a documented record of every job they’ve closed. We work under The Haven Standard, which means the promises on this page are the same promises written into Clause 1 before any work begins. What unites this team is simpler than any mission statement: we’d rather show you a failed torsion spring on camera and explain the measurement than ask you to trust a vague description. Marcus Deller, Owner and Lead Technician, hires for that instinct.
Our People
Marcus Deller, Owner & Lead Technician
Marcus started Servo Garage Doors Dallas in 2015 after a decade in residential door work, first on install crews, then running diagnostic calls for three of the eight brands Servo still services today: LiftMaster, Chamberlain, and Clopay. He built the company around a rule he wrote in the first month of operation: the customer sees the failed part before anyone quotes a replacement. That rule became the photo record policy, and it’s still Clause 4 of The Haven Standard. Marcus carries a set of spring wire gauges and a digital caliper on every call because he’d rather measure a 0.250-inch spring wire than guess at it. He lives in Garland and will tell you the worst spring failures he’s seen this year haven’t come from storms; they’ve come from springs installed without a winding bar back in the 1990s. Marcus still takes the hardest torsion spring jobs himself, and he’s the one who signs off on every apprentice’s work before a truck leaves the shop.
Derrick T., Senior Installer
Derrick has installed more than 3,000 doors across the Dallas metro since he joined Servo in 2018, and his specialty is full-system replacements on older homes where the track isn’t square, the header isn’t level, and the old door is fighting the rails. He is certified in Clopay and Amarr product lines and handles the heavier lift work: solid-wood carriage doors in Highland Park, steel-back insulated doors in Plano, and wind-load-rated doors in the corridor between Arlington and Grand Prairie. Derrick is the one who will set a laser level on the opening before telling you that a new door won’t fix the header; Clause 2, which covers honest scope and written limitations, is the part of The Haven Standard he quotes most. Off the truck, he rebuilds vintage Honda motorcycles in his garage, three blocks off Lower Greenville.
Sandra M., Service Coordinator
Sandra has been answering our phone since 2021, and she’s the reason a live person picks up at 6:00 a.m. on a holiday when a spring lets go in Oak Cliff or Mesquite. She’s not a dispatcher reading a script. Sandra knows the truck inventory on any given day, which means she can tell a customer whether the technician arriving will have a replacement LiftMaster logic board or whether the part needs to be pulled from the warehouse. She’s the one who schedules the Free Second Opinion appointments when a homeowner brings in a written estimate from another company. Before any call wraps, Sandra confirms the price range over the phone, the window of arrival, and exactly what the customer should expect to see before the technician leaves: photos of the failed part, a written warranty, and a documented record of what was done. She keeps a map of every neighborhood we serve, and she cross-references it against Dallas permitting rules for opener replacements.
Eli R., Apprentice Technician
Eli joined the crew in 2023 under the Haven mentorship path: ride-along only, then supervised diagnostics, then independent calls only after passing the photo-documentation review that Marcus runs personally. He spent his first six months shadowing Derrick on installs and learning the difference between a stripped cable drum and a misaligned track. Eli is our specialist for opener diagnostics on newer Chamberlain and Genie models, particularly the jobs that call for a limit switch adjustment or a travel module reset rather than a full replacement. He is the one most likely to point out that a noisy opener isn’t broken when the real problem is a failing bushing in the carriage. Eli is from Richardson, went to Berkner High, and keeps a printed copy of The Haven Standard in his truck. Clause 1, the written price before any work starts, is highlighted.
One Standard, Every Job

The Haven Standard is not a slogan on a truck wrap. It’s eight clauses that govern how every named person on this page operates in the field, whether it’s a nine-dollar roller replacement or a full custom door order. Clause 1 requires a flat, written price and written scope before any work begins. Clause 3 covers the 365-Day Done Right Promise. Clause 4 mandates the documented photo record of findings and completed work on every visit. And Clause 5 binds the whole thing together: if something isn’t right, we make it right. That standard applies to every technician, every coordinator, every call. What ties the Dallas crew to the broader Servo network is this: no technician is allowed to explain a failure with an adjective when a measurement will do. We say what we found. We show it to you. Then we fix it.
